Skirting

Skirting is not cosmetic. It keeps the crawl space dry, keeps the plumbing from freezing, and is required by most counties before a home passes final inspection.

Process

How this stage runs.

01

Measure

We measure the full perimeter including hitch end and any bay projections, and confirm the grade line.

02

Set rail

Bottom rail is trenched and set so wind cannot lift the panels off the ground.

03

Panel

Panels are cut, seated, and locked to the top track with expansion allowance for temperature swing.

04

Vent and access

Vents are placed to code and access panels are cut in at every utility connection point.
